We were able to learn more about the latest WEEE situation in Thailand.
It was surprising to learn that 90% of WEEE is effectively utilized in Thailand and about 10% is disposed of, including in landfills. (This was a better percentage than we had expected.)
The export transition of scrap waste was also interesting. Imports of copper and other metals had been very active, but had declined sharply since the ban in 2020. It was also very interesting to see that Korea is currently the top exporter of E-Waste, followed by Japan and Singapore.
